a collection of experiences
experiential learning, in all its forms, is integral to the success of our graduates. connect with hands-on learning:
- we have one of two flight simulators — merlin flight simulator lab — in north america where students enter their own designs and experience flying an aircraft without leaving the ground.
- our innovation center faculty, staff and students have assisted more than 200 external clients helping them to solve their real-world challenges.
- co-ops and internships are encouraged but so is travel to experience firsthand how engineering impacts the world.
- the ethos center, for community-engaged learning, was founded by students eager to make a difference. since 2001, participating students have traveled to more than 20 countries on four continents to use their engineering skills for humanitarian purposes, serving others through practical engineering knowledge.
